This is a 3.0-ish social tournament for recreational Chicks who love great games, good competition and all the fun of a tournament day — without the weirdness that can happen when the bracket says 3.0, but somehow everyone looks like they’ve been secretly training for nationals. 😂

Think Advanced Beginner through Recreational Intermediate.

Register solo. Rotate partners. EIGHT games guaranteed. Count your best seven. Play lots of Chicks. Bring your A game and your A vibe.

And maybe finish the day wearing a very cute but very unserious crown. 👑

💗 Is This Your Tournament?

You’ll love this one if you:

•  Play 3.0-ish recreational pickleball — Advanced Beginner through Intermediate at the club level 
•  Enjoy good rallies, friendly competition and meeting new Chicks 
•  Get excited about playing in a tournament but feel a few butterflies too — you’ll feel welcomed here 
•  Like to compete, but aren’t auditioning for the PPA tour

🎯 How It Works

Register solo. Rotate partners.

Every Chick will play 8 games with a variety of partners and opponents.

Games are:

•  Regular scoring 
•  First to 11, win by 2
• 10-minute time limit
•  If the horn goes while the score is tied, play one deciding rally
•  Your best 7 of 8 games count — everybody gets one mulligan. This means one weird matchup, one rough game or one partner having a very bad paddle day does not sink your scorecard. 😂

🧮 Tournament Scoring

We keep it simple:

• Win = 5 tournament points
• Lose by 1 or 2  = 3 tournament points
• Lose by 3+ = 1 tournament point

At the end of your 8 games, cross out one score and tally up your total tournament points.

At the end of the day, the top-scoring Chicks take:

🥇 First place — crowned our HARVEST QUEEN 👑
🥈 Second place
🥉 Third place

No extra medal playoff rounds. Everybody gets their eight games, we total the standings, and the highest-scoring Chicks take the podium.

👑 One More Note About Skill Level

This event is intentionally built around a 3.0-ish recreational group.

We may review DUPR, club ratings, known gameplay or registration details to help protect that experience.

If we believe your level is well above the intended field, we may contact you or refund your registration.

Choose this event because 3.0-ish is genuinely where you play — in Open Play, leagues or drills — not simply because 3.0 is the lowest rating you can technically enter. 

Getting anywhere near 3.5 tournament-level play? We love that for you — but this isn’t your tournament. Please sit it out.

$65 + HST per Chick

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a partner?

Nope.

Register solo and rotate partners throughout the tournament.

How many games do I play?

Eight.

You’ll play four games in your first pod, move into a new pod, and play four more.

Why do only my best 7 games count?

At the 3.0-ish level, sometimes we’re hot and sometimes, girlfriend, we’re not. 😂

That’s why you get to cross out one game of your choosing.

Friends let friends take mulligans. That’s just a PickleballChicks fact.

Will scores be submitted to DUPR?

Nope.

How long should I plan to be there?

Please arrive around 11L30 AM for check-in and warm-up.

Tournament play begins at NOON, and we’ll have you crowned and heading to the Gretzky bar for a celebratory drink by 4:00 PM.
