PickleballChicks™ is a fun, fabulous, all Chick US/Canada tournament company with 70+ sold-out tournaments and events and a reputation for welcoming energy and seriously fun tournament days...

... and now we're bringing our signature Bloom Baby Bloom tournament event to Hamilton, Ontario!

And because PickleballChicks™ is turning TWO years old, Bloom Baby Bloom is also a little birthday party. There will definitely be little cupcakes and a little extra sparkle for this one :) 

Register Solo

You’ll register on your own and rotate partners throughout the tournament.
That means you’ll play with a variety of Chicks, meet new people, and get lots of different game experiences.
Individual scores will be tracked throughout the day, so every game counts — even though your partner changes.

🎯 Tournament Format

Every player is guaranteed 6 games.

Games will use regular scoring first to 11 (not win by 2).

After 6 round robin games, the top 8 players in each bracket will move on to medal games battling it out for Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

And yes, there will be custom PickleballChicks™ medals, crowns, and the pride of hoisting the PickleballChicks™ scepters. 👑

At every one of our events, there are a few fun prizes to go around — and since it’s our birthday, there will be even more!

🏆 Brackets

This tournament will have two brackets so we can keep games well-matched, competitive, and fun.

Note:
Not every tournament is the right fit for every player, and that’s okay. If you honestly see yourself in one of the two brackets below, we’d love to have you register. If you’re well above this level or not quite ready for this format yet, we kindly ask you to sit this one out so the games stay fair, fun, and fabulous for the Chicks on court.

🟢 Bracket One: Recreational 3.0

This bracket is for you if:

• You would register in a Lower Intermediate / 3.0 skills & drills group at your club
• At open play, you usually fit best with the middle-to-lower side of the group
• You can rally, but errors still happen often, especially when opponents speed the game up or use a lot of power
• You’re looking for fun, well-matched games with just the right amount of friendly competition

🟦 Bracket Two: Recreational 3.5

This bracket is for you if:

• You would register in an Higher Intermediate / 3.5 skills & drills group at your club
• At open play, you are usually one of the stronger players and can hold your own
• You’re looking for stronger, spicier competition
• You compete hard but still bring great sportsmanship, encouragement, and good energy to the court

👑 A Quick Note About Levels

This tournament is designed for recreational 3.0 and recreational 3.5 players. 

Are you getting anywhere close to being a 4.0? We’re proud of you, but you’re too strong for this one.

PickleballChicks™ may review DUPR, club ratings, known gameplay, or registration details to help keep brackets fair and fun. If we believe you’re not registered at the right level, we may contact you, move you if space allows, or cancel and refund your registration.

💵 Fee

Early Bird: $60 + HST per player
Late Bird: $65 + HST per player

How many games will I get?

Every player is guaranteed 6 games.

Do I need a partner?

Nope.

This is a solo registration, switch-partner tournament.

Who can register?

This is a tournament for women.

All adult women are welcome — please choose the bracket that honestly fits your current level of play.

What if I’m not sure which bracket to choose?

Please read the bracket descriptions carefully and choose the one that best reflects your current, everyday game.

Will players be moved between brackets?

Possibly.

PickleballChicks™ may review DUPR, club ratings, known gameplay, or registration details to help keep brackets fair and fun.

If we believe you’re not registered at the right level, we may contact you, move you if space allows, or cancel and refund your registration.

Who’s not a good fit for this tournament?

This may not be your vibe if you:

✖ Only want to play with your own partner
 ✖ Don’t enjoy switch-partner formats
 ✖ Get easily frustrated or overly intense
 ✖ Bring negative energy to your partner
 ✖ Prefer fixed partners and rigid formats
 ✖ Are only here to win
 ✖ Are getting close to 4.0 level play

Will scores be submitted to DUPR?

Nope. Scores will not be submitted to DUPR.

What should I bring?

Please bring:

• Your paddle
 • Court shoes
 • Water
 • Your best A-game and A-vibes

We’ll have little birthday treats, and Gretzky has food on site to keep you fueled up.

Can I bring fans?

Yes, yes, and yes!

Bring your cheering Squad. We love a little courtside hype.

How long will I be playing?

Plan to be at the club 30 minutes early.

We begin promptly at 1:00 PM, and we’ll be finished up and on our way to Starbucks for a well-deserved latte at 5:00 PM. You may play up to 3 games back to back so register if you are physically able to play at your highest level for that length of time without a break. 

Is this event supporting a charity?

Yes 💖

Giving back is part of what we do. In the past 2 years, PickleballChicks™ has donated almost $6,000 to causes close to our hearts.

A portion of proceeds from this event will support The Bright Run, which funds breast cancer research at Hamilton’s Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre. Our mission is to help kick breast cancer to the curb and tell it to fck off and never show its face around these lady parts again.
