Bloom Baby Bloom Recap: The Chicks Came to Play

What a day.

Our Bloom Baby Bloom tournament at The Gretzky Pickleball Club in Hamilton was everything we hoped it would be: joyful, supportive, competitive, sparkly, and full of fabulous Chick energy from start to finish.

The courts were buzzing, the music was playing, the rallies were spicy, and the vibe was exactly what PickleballChicks™ is all about — women showing up, playing hard, cheering each other on, and creating the kind of community that makes everyone feel like they belong.

From the first serve to the final crowns, the energy in the room was pure magic. There were big laughs, close games, gorgeous shots, sweaty smiles, and so many moments that reminded us why we do this.

Because yes, we love the pickleball.

But we also love the bench chats. The new friendships. The “you’ve got this” moments. The high-fives after a tough rally. The courage it takes to sign up solo and walk into a room full of new faces. The way Chicks lift each other up on and off the court.

That’s the good stuff.

And this tournament had even more heart behind it.

We’re proud to share that PickleballChicks made a donation from the Bloom Baby Bloom tournament to The Bright Run, supporting the incredibly important work of researchers at the Juravinski Cancer Centre.

Breast cancer has touched far too many lives, and being able to turn a day of joy, play, connection, and community into support for breast cancer research means the world to us.

So to every Chick who registered, rallied, cheered, volunteered, donated, laughed, hugged, and brought her full fabulous self to the courts — thank you.

You made Bloom Baby Bloom bloom, baby.

We played hard. We lifted high. We gave back.

And together, we helped tell breast cancer to go the f*ck away. 💖🏓👑
