Our backstory.

I’m Sharon Ricci. I started PickleballChicks because, as a fairly “average” 55+ woman player, I wanted to compete but was turned off by tournaments and groups that made me feel not good enough or anxious.

Instead of letting my fear get the best of me and giving up pickleball tournaments, I started PickleballChick events.

At PickleballChick events you’ll find a place to compete that’s designed to feel safe and supported. A place that’s fun and friendly but also competitive so you can play at your very highest level.

It’s where we can all say bah-bye to the old fashioned idea that nice girls don’t want to win and they don’t like to sweat or smash. At our events, we do both, usually at the same time.

Beyond hosting pickleball tournaments, we also share occasional news and offer branded PickleballChicks merchandise.

The results so far? PickleballChick is now a TOP 10% DUPR Club, our events are filling the courts in Canada and the US, we’re finding supportive and fun new communities and no one is crying on the way home in the car. To me? That’s a huge success and it’s a blast to be leading it.
